## Restaurant Staff Schedule Maker

URL: https://minimalpos.com/tools/staff-schedule-maker

Add your team, set start and end times for each day, and the roster totals hours and projected labour cost as you build it. That live cost column is the difference between a schedule and a spreadsheet — you can see a Saturday double landing you over budget before you publish it, not after payroll.

### Features

- Seven-day grid with start and end times per person
- Projected labour cost updating live as you assign shifts
- Per-person and per-day hour totals
- Optional weekly labour budget with an over-budget warning
- Print-ready layout for the back-of-house wall

### How it relates to MinimalPOS

A roster is a plan. MinimalPOS records what actually happened — sales by shift, by day and by peak hour — so you can put your planned hours next to the revenue they produced and roster the next week better.

**How is projected labour cost calculated?** Each person's hourly rate multiplied by the hours you assign them across the week, then totalled. Overnight shifts that cross midnight are handled, so a 22:00–02:00 shift counts as four hours rather than a negative number.

**Can I print the schedule for the staff room?** Yes. The print layout strips the controls and prints the grid, hours and totals on a single sheet. Print in landscape for a full week.

**Is my roster saved anywhere?** No. Everything stays in your browser for the session, and nothing is uploaded. That is also why there is no account to create — but it means you should print or screenshot before closing the tab.

**What labour budget should I set?** Work back from your own numbers rather than a generic target: take your forecast revenue for the week and multiply by the labour percentage you are aiming for. Our labour cost calculator works out where you currently sit.
