5 Best Loyverse Alternatives for Restaurants

Restaurants usually outgrow Loyverse for one of three reasons: no native QR ordering, no table management, or the add-on fees for sales history and staff. The main alternatives are MinimalPOS (free, includes all three), StoreHub (from RM122/month), Slurp (from RM135/month) and Square for Restaurants.

The trigger

Why operators look for a Loyverse alternative

Stated as published fact, not opinion. Every pricing figure below links to the vendor's own page.

  • Loyverse has no native QR ordering — it connects to third-party apps through a marketplace, which means a second product and a second bill.

  • There is no floor plan or table management, and the company has stated it does not plan to add one.

  • Full sales history is US$9/month per store, employee management is US$5/month per employee, and advanced inventory is US$25/month per store — so the free POS gets progressively less free as you grow.

01

MinimalPOS

This site

A free cloud restaurant POS covering counter, table, takeaway and QR orders, a kitchen display, billing, staff roles and full report history.

Best for

Independent restaurants, cafés and bars that want the metered features — QR ordering, kitchen screens, table management, staff accounts — without a per-screen or per-employee bill.

Watch out for

  • Does not process card payments — you keep your existing terminal and provider.
  • Delivery orders are supported but do not sync automatically from GrabFood, foodpanda or LINE MAN.
  • Customer history and bookings are included; there is no points-based loyalty programme.
  • Cloud-based, so an internet outage affects the restaurant product. The separate retail product is offline-first.

Questions

What people ask before switching

Is there a free Loyverse alternative with table management?

MinimalPOS includes table management, QR ordering, a kitchen display, staff roles and full report history at no cost during its launch offer. That combination is the main practical difference from Loyverse, which has none of the first three natively.

Does Loyverse have QR ordering?

Not natively. Loyverse connects to third-party QR ordering apps through its marketplace, which means a separate product, a separate subscription and a separate setup. In MinimalPOS, guest QR orders join the same kitchen queue as orders entered by staff.

What does Loyverse actually cost once you add everything?

The core POS, dashboard and kitchen display are free. Full sales history is US$9/month per store, employee management US$5/month per employee, and advanced inventory US$25/month per store. A five-staff single outlet wanting full history therefore runs about US$34/month.

Which alternative is best if I need to keep working offline?

Loyverse is genuinely strong here, and that is a real reason to stay. MinimalPOS's restaurant product is cloud-based. If offline operation is non-negotiable and you run a shop rather than a restaurant, our separate offline-first retail POS is the closer fit.
